On 7 May, Rohit announced his retirement from Test cricket after 67 Tests and 11 years of career. Prior to the tour of England, India’s ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 cycle will begin from June 20. Rohit scored 4,301 runs with 12 centuries and 18 fifties at an average of 40.57. His highest score was 212 runs which came in 2019 during a memorable domestic series against South Africa. He is India’s 16th highest run -scorer in the longest format.
