Ind vs NZ: ‘I don’t understand why …’, Shoaib Akhtar raised this big question after India’s victory, panic

Shoaib Akhtar Angry on PCB after Team India Win CT 2025 vs NZ: The Indian cricket team performed brilliantly on Sunday and won the title of Champions Trophy for the third time. India defeated New Zealand by four wickets thanks to captain Rohit Sharma’s best 76-run innings as well as Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya’s significant contribution and won the Champions Trophy 2025.
However, a dispute was also seen in the closing ceremony after the final. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials were not called on stage by the ICC, which expressed resentment. According to sources, PCB Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sumair Ahmed was present at the ground, but he was not invited to the prize distribution ceremony. Sumair Ahmed was also the director of this tournament. At the same time, PCB President Mohsin Naqvi could not go to Dubai due to his busyness.
Former Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar also responded to this matter. Sharing a video on social media, he said, “India won the Champions Trophy, but no representative of PCB was present after the final. Pakistan was the host of this tournament, yet why no one was called from PCB, it is beyond my comprehension.
This is literally beyond my undersrstanding.
How can this be done ???#championstrophy2025 pic.twitter.com/cpiugevfj9– Shoaib Akhtar (@Shoaib100mph) March 9, 2025
Later it was said that due to some reason or misunderstanding, he was not called on the stage from where ICC President Jai Shah, BCCI President Roger Binny and Secretary Devjit Saikia gave medals, trophy and jackets to the players. No representative of the host Pakistan was on the stage. PCB can raise this issue before the ICC.
