India Türkiye Relation: In recent times, giving a strong message to Turkey to support Pakistan in recent times, the Indian government said on Thursday that New Delhi hopes that Ankara will encourage Pakistan to deal with the problem of cross -border terrorism that arises from it. New Delhi also asked Turkey to prevent Pakistan from using terrorism as a means of state policy and should take reliable and verified action against the terrorist ecosystem -nurturers ecosystem by Islamabad and Rawalpindi for decades.
After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, the tilt of Ankara towards Pakistan has smelled in relations between India and Turkey, but India has made it clear that relations between the two countries are based on mutual respect and sensitivity to each other’s concerns.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said in a weekly press conference today, “We hope that Turkey will urge Pakistan to stop his support for cross-border terrorism and take reliable and verified action against the terrorist ecosystem of him for decades. Relations are made based on sensitivity to each other’s concerns.”
Operation came openly with Pakistan in Operation Sindoor
Turkey’s role in Pakistan’s growing activities against India, which started with a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, came into the limelight in response to India’s Operation Sindoor. In addition to ideological and moral support to Islamabad, Turkey also provided weapons to Pakistan.
Most of the 300-400 drones used by Pakistan in military action against India were provided by Türkiye. These drones targeted both military and civilians in India. The drone was used on the entire western border (from Leh in Ladakh to Sir Creek in Gujarat) for several infiltration and violation of Indian airs in 36 places. In addition, when India killed more than 100 terrorists who took shelter in terrorist camps destroyed in their accurate missile attacks on terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir, Turkey stood in solidarity with Pakistan. At the same time, Turkey did not condemn the Pahalgam terror attack, which was carried out by terrorists associated with Pakistan associated with the Branch of Lashkar-e-Taiba banned by the United Nations.

Amid growing sentiments against Turkey in India, activists and citizens have called for a complete boycott of Turkish goods and services in India. People have urged fellow Indians to avoid holidays in Türkiye and appealed to filmmakers to avoid shooting in that country.
