Indian citizen stabbed to death in Canada, suspected attacker in custody

An Indian citizen has been killed in Canada. The Indian Embassy in Canada said on Saturday morning that an Indian citizen has been stabbed to death in the Rockland area of Canada near Ottawa. According to the embassy, a suspect has been taken into custody. The embassy said that they are providing all possible help to the victim’s family.
The Indian Embassy in Canada wrote in a post on X, ‘We are very sad about the tragic death of an Indian citizen by stabbing a knife in Rockland near Ottawa. Police have said that a suspect has been taken into custody. We are in close contact through a local community association to provide all possible help to the bereaved families.

According to local media reports, one person died in Clarence-Ruckland this morning, a man has been arrested in this case. However, it is not yet clear whether this is the same incident that the Indian Embassy has mentioned in its post.
According to CBC News report, Ontario Provincial Police has warned the residents of Rockland to increase the presence of police in the area.
