India’s government media laughed at India’s fake news about Operation Sindoor

China’s government media institute Global Times has also not lagged behind spreading misleading information against India. When media outlets share such information without confirming the source, this responsibility and journalism reflects a serious lapse in morality. The government said that the PIB Fact Czech has brought out examples of fake reports in which old pictures of the crashed aircraft from Operation Sindoor are going viral.
A picture is of an old incident related to the Indian Air Force (IAF) MiG-29 fighter aircraft, crashed in Rajasthan in September 2024, while the second photo is from Punjab in 2021 from Punjab MiG-21 fighter aircraft. With this, responding to the Global Times, the Indian Embassy mentioned the Pahalgam terrorist attack in 11 separate posts on X on 22 April. 22 tourists died in this attack, including two foreign nationals.
