Suryavanshi scored his stormy century off just 35 balls with the help of 11 sixes and seven fours and scored the second fastest century in the history of IPL. He was finally dismissed by scoring 101 runs off 38 balls.

His brilliant innings came against Gujarat Titans, the winner of IPL 2022, which gave Rajasthan Royals a target of 210 runs to win. The fastest century record in the IPL is named after former West Indies batsman Chris Gayle, who made his triple figure on 30 balls for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Pune Warriors in April 2013.
