IPL 2025: “Due to the use of drug …” Kagiso Rabada’s shocking revelations when returning to IPL home

Kagiso rabada drug suspension: The world’s top fast bowler Kagiso Rabada on Saturday revealed that he is facing temporary suspension due to the intake of banned drugs used for ‘intoxication’. The South African fast bowler left the IPL, citing personal reasons after playing two matches for the Gujarat Titans last month.

Rabada will be 30 years old at the end of this month. He issued a statement through ‘South African Cricketers Association (SACA)’. Rabada apologized for his mistake in this statement, saying, “As reported, I have returned to South Africa after participating in the IPL for personal reasons. This has happened because the investigation has confirmed a banned substance that is used for fun.”

Rabada further said, “I express deep regrets to all I have disappointed. I will never take the privilege of playing cricket lightly. This privilege is bigger than me. It is beyond my personal aspirations. I am serving a provisional suspension sentence and I am eager to return to the game I like to play.”

Rabada further said in the statement, “Most importantly, I want to thank my friends and family for their understanding and love. Moving forward, this moment will not define me. I will keep doing what I have always done, will continue to work hard and play with passion and dedication towards my game.” Rabada, 29, has played 70 Tests, 106 One-Day and 65 T20 matches for South Africa. Rabada represented MI Cape Town in the SA20. Rabada is now back to India.

When Rabada returned to South Africa from the IPL, his team Gujarat Titans said that he had to go home to deal with the “important personal matter”, and he did not indicate when he would return to India.
