Shubman Gill on Sachin Tendulkar: Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill has made a big disclosure. Gill has announced the name of that cricketer, due to which he himself has become a cricketer. Talking on Jio Hotstar, Gill has revealed this. Let us know that the first match of IPL 2025 is going to be played on 22 March. At the same time, the Gujarat team is going to play their first match with Punjab Kings on 25 March this season. Before the start of the IPL, Gill has revealed the name of his favorite cricketer. Gill is not the name of Sachin Tendulkar, not Virat Kohli. Gill said that Tendulkar was the ‘reason’ due to which he started playing cricket because his father Lakhwinder Singh was the ‘biggest fan’ of Master-Blaster.

Talking on Jio Hotstar, Gill said, “I remember that I went to watch three to four matches with my father at Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Panchkula. Mumbai Indians came there for practice in the second or third year of IPL. At that time I was nine or ten years old. I also have a photo with Sachin Sir and Glenn Maxwell.”

Gill further said, “I used to throw him a ball during his practice. It is some of the early memories of my IPL. I used to be very nervous, but I already knew about Sachin sir. Because of him I started playing cricket. My father is his biggest fan. Although my father was never interested in posters, but Sachin Sir was in the poster in our village.” Bar Gill played for KKA’s team. Later he has been playing for Titans since 2022.
