Kieron Pollad Big Statement on Rohit Sharma: Mumbai Indians batting coach Kieron Pollard praised veteran Rohit Sharma and captain Hardik Pandya for the experienced players to face some discounts and support during their difficult times and to face the difficult time outside the field in a brilliant manner. Rohit made a brilliant comeback by scoring two consecutive half -centuries after performing poorly in the opening match of this session of IPL, while Hardik faced criticism for the team’s poor performance last year.
He said, “We (Mumbai Indians) always believed that he (Rohit) would do well. I would just like to tell you that sometimes these players should get a discount.” Pollard told the media a day before the Mumbai Indians match against Lucknow Super Giants on Sunday, “The player’s form declines, the confidence is less and the player who has been playing this game at the top level for so long, comes for such moments and sometimes you need extra support from people.” He said, “We are praising him now and we are all very happy. We were also happy in the dressing room of Mumbai and we knew that this was going to happen.”
Pollard said that he is happy to see Hardik coming out of the challenges that came out last year. Hardik faced a sharp response from the fans after assuming the captaincy of Mumbai Indians when he was also facing personal problems. Pollard said, “He is enjoying his game, as we all have seen from international cricket, he has contributed to everything from winning the World Cup to the Champions Trophy. It is about a person who has suffered a lot.”
This former West Indies veteran said, “We are all humans and everyone should sometimes get some discounts in this world.” Pollard said that ups and downs are part of the journey as a person and he is happy to see Hardik’s progress. He said, “I continue to watch his journey because I have seen his journey in Mumbai Indians since 2015.” He said, “He has seen a lot of ups and downs and it will continue even further. This is life, it is life, the most have to go through it.”
