IPL 2025: Where will the final match of IPL 2025 be? This screw stuck in finalizing schedule- report

Ahmedabad Likely to Host IPL 2025 Final: IPL 2025 is starting again from 17 May. The schedule has been announced by the IPL for the remaining matches of the league. During this time, the dates of knockout matches were announced, but it was not told at which site they will be held. The board had issued a press release stating that the venue of the playoff matches would be announced later. At the same time, it has now been claimed in a report that keeping in mind the Manasoon, the board has not announced the venue of the knockout and the final of the league can be played in Ahmedabad.

According to Cricbuzz report, Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad has been selected to host the qualifier 2 and the final. The BCCI has not announced the playoffs due to the weather and if the weather forecasts go completely wrong then the plan can change. However, it is expected that there is no possibility of rain in Ahmedabad in early June.

For the first two playoff matches, Mumbai remains a possible option, but the final decision will depend on the time of the arrival of the monsoon. A few days ago there was heavy rains in the city, and since then the forecast about the weather is not good. It is expected that the BCCI will take a decision on this soon. If North Indian places like Delhi, Jaipur or even Lucknow are not affected by rain, then the board can choose one of them. There is a possibility that the BCCI will not transfer IPL to a new city for playoffs and finals.

In the new schedule issued by the BCCI, six cities have been given the host of matches. Logistics is the primary reason for BCCI not allotting matches to Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad and Mohali/Dharamshala. Teams like CSK and SRH had only one domestic sports match, and the board considered it impractical to transfer the broadcast equipment for the single match. Recently, Mohali and Dharamshala were excluded due to border dispute, due to which the BCCI made Jaipur a new base for Punjab Kings, which will now play the remaining two domestic matches there.

Kolkata is facing unexpected weather and perhaps that is why the last two matches have been shifted away from the Eden Gardens. Anyway, KKR had already played all its home matches in Kolkata. It is believed that to further clarify the decision,

The BCCI has informed the franchisees that the teams who have only one domestic match will play it in Delhi. This explains why CSK (vs RR) and SRH (vs KKR) have to play their remaining domestic matches in the capital.
