Janhvi Kapoor’s Indo-Western look by Jayanti Reddy featured baroque embroidery

The latest collection from Jayanti Reddy to India Couture Week, was a romantic showcase in her heart. Janvi Kapoor turned the muse for the designer in a pink blush look with a modern drape. The collection itself “celebrates ancient textiles with Dori works, adorned flowers, birds, paisley, baroque and decorative art gates,” said the designer.

Designed with its signature attention to the texture and surface work, the outfit included a strongly embellished leshenga fillet embellished with wire, zari, glitter and pearls, creating a floral pattern in layers with baroque shades. Lenga’s fishtail silhouette had enough rocket to move fluidly while maintaining the sculptural weight.

Cut into a carved and heart neckline with mesh sleeves, the blouse included shoulder shoulder curtains that were doubled with jewelry. Its close adjustment and short length gave a contemporary edge to a differently rooted silhouette. The Dupatta, draped with casualness on an arm, left a pure path while Kapoor slipped on the ramp.

A diamond and emerald neck lap with a central pendant and matching earrings provided a punctuation with the neckline, while gentle and central waves, defined eyebrows and make -up with neutral tones have maintained the coherent overall effect.
