Jasprit Bumrah Champions Trophy out of 2025, who got a chance in the team in his place
Jasprit bumrah rled out of ICC champions trophy 2025: Team India has suffered a major setback in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 campaign. Veteran fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is out of the tournament due to injury. The information of which has been issued on Tuesday (11 February 2025) to BCCI. It has also been told by the board that young fast bowler Harshit Rana has been included in the 15 -member team at the place of Bumrah. Not only this, young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, who has not been able to show some special Khushma in the first ODI against England, has been dropped from the main team. In his place, ‘Mystery’ spinner Varun Chakraborty has entered the main team.
Bumrah has a problem of lower back pain
Border Gavaskar Trophy was a lower back pain during the bowling in the last match of 2024-25. After which he went out of the middle match. He was on off loading for a long time. Not only this, he was also sent to the National Cricket Academy. But he failed to recover. After which the BCCI has to take strict decisions today.

BCCI statement
The statement issued by the BCCI said, “Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 due to the problem of lower back pain. In his place, Mans Selection Committee has chosen Harshit Rana in the team. Varun Chakraborty has been given a place in the team. He will replace Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was part of the initial main team.

Rohit Sharma (Captain), Shubman Gill (Vice-Qetan), Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (wicketkeeper), Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Hardik Pandya, Akshar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Harshit Rana, Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh, Ravindra Jadeja and Varun Chakraborty.
Traveling Reserve:
Yashasvi Jaiswal, Mohammad Siraj and Shivam Dubey. (These players will leave for Dubai if needed)
