Jaya Bachchan asks to issue commemorative postage stamps over 50 years of Deewar and Shlay

New Delhi. Jaya Bachchan, member of the Samajwadi party, in Rajya Sabha, asked the government to issue a commemorative ticket on Thursday after finishing 50 years of production from the film “Wall” and “Sholay”. Raising this problem in the upper room during the zero hour, Jaya Bachchan said: “Indian cinema has reached an important step and I want our cinematographic heritage to be respected.” He said that this year, the birth centenary of the well -known showman Raj Kapoor is being celebrated. He said that Raj Kapoor’s contribution to the cinema is invaluable and incomparable.

Actress and deputy Jaya said that this year, 50 years of production of two classic films “Wall” and “Sholay” are also completed. He said that the ordinary man’s struggle had been shown in these films, popular among the public, even today. He said that “Sholay” was released in 1975 and that the film continued for five years in many theaters. Jaya Bachchan also acted in “Sholay”.

Jaya, who speaks to the upper room, asked the government to issue a commemorative postage stamp on the completion of 50 years of production from the film ‘Wall’ with ‘Sholay’. The two films are counted among the greatest films by Jaya Bachchan and the greatest successful films of the popular actor Amicitabh Bachchan. He said that this stage will tell them about the conservation of this cinematographic heritage as well as the creation of cultural relations with our next generation.

He said that cinema plays an important role in our cultural identity while keeping social importance. Jaya said that the film Heritage Foundation offered a special projection of the Wall and IIFA was specially known “Sholay” in 2025 which shows the importance of these films in the world of cinema.
