In the 25th edition of the IIFA 2025 prices, Kareena Kapoor made the famous songs of her grandfather Raj Kapoor and paid him a huge tribute. Bearing a suit, Kareena Kapoor repeated the signing stage of the Japanese song on the stage. While sharing the video, the official Instagram handle of the IIFA wrote in legend: “We really fell in love with this beautiful tribute to Raj Kapoor for our celebrations of the silver jubilee.”
Pyaar Hua Iqrar Hua performs on the song
In another video, Kareena Kapoor showed her retro vibrations on the song Pyaar Hua Iqrar. The song was initially shot on Raj Kapoor and Nargis. While sharing the video, IIFA legend: “We will give a 10/10 score to the performance of Poo – Kareena Kapoor Khan is nobody!”

The birth of Raj Kapoor was celebrated
In December of last year, a special film festival was organized by the Kapoor family to celebrate the birth centenary of Raj Kapoor. The event was followed by Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Neetu Kapoor and other members of the Kapoor family. Raj Kapoor is known for his famous films like Awara, Sri 420, Bobby and Mera Joker. He received several awards for his contribution to industry, notably Padma Bhushan in 1971 and Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1988 as well as several Filmfare prizes. Raj Kapoor Awara and Boot Polish’s films made their mark at the Cannes Film Festival, while Awake Raho won the prestigious Crystal Globe at the Carlovi Veri International Film Festival.
