Khelo India 2025: Bihar hosts Khelo India, new atmosphere on sports
Khelo India 2025: In the national level events of sports, the name of Bihar has been recorded in golden letters. The main reason for this is that Khelo India Youth Games 2025 is to be successfully held from 4 to 15 May. Special arrangements were made for this in five cities of the state Patna, Nalanda (Rajgir), Gaya, Bhagalpur and Begusarai. Excellent arrangements were made from the level of the state government for the stay of more than 10 thousand players and their cooperation workers, from food to their movement. It was also praised by all the players from other states.
For this, all the basic facilities were provided from various hotels in Patna, Gaya, Rajgir, Bhagalpur and Begusarai to the state guests. So that the players do not have any kind of problem. Separate arrangements were made for indoor games. All indoor sports courts were provided with other necessary resources to avoid heat. All competitions related to preparation were conducted in the international level 30 meter long swimming bridge in Bipard in Bodh Gaya. Similarly, there were some competitions on the specifically made jogging tracks from the settled rubber. In the plains where sports like Malkham, Yoga, Thangta were organized, German hangars were specially made, so that the players and the audience do not have problems even in this scorching heat.
It started by creating a separate sports department
As part of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s visionary thinking to encourage the sports, many important decisions have been taken in the last few years to provide inspiration to the youth as a great career option. It was established by creating a separate sports department. After this, many other facilities were prepared in all the districts including sports ground, rejuvenation of stadium, construction of Pataliputra Sports Complex in Patna, international level stadium and sports complex in Rajgir. With this, all other types of facilities were developed from the infrastructure of the game. The result of this is that before Khelo India, very special events like the World Cup of Sekpak Takra, Asia Cup of Women’s Hockey were organized in Rajgir. The state government’s special scheme to develop a sports ground in all the panchayats of Bihar is being implemented rapidly. So that at the panchayat level itself, the youth get a direct sports environment and they can take advantage of it.
Bring medals and get jobs
The state government announced a medal, job found scheme about 4-5 years ago. Along with this, the exercise to make all the necessary facilities started from developing all the infrastructure related to sports. This increased the urge to perform better in sports among the youth. Arrangements were made to give jobs directly in any sports performance or other equivalent posts in the district offices, from the secretariat to the district offices. A large number of players are taking advantage of this.
Bihar made all preparations on its own
Bihar handled the swimming of such a big event on its own. For this, help was not taken from any external agency or any external big catener. When the responsibility of organizing Khelo India, the team of officers and officials visited the states of Tamil Nadu and Uttarakhand to prepare a planned action plan by focusing on all the fine aspects related to it. Because in these two states, this Mahasamar of the game was last organized. During the entire event, a balanced and nutritious diet for the players was also specially taken care of. For every 100 players, 29 kg chicken, 16 kg of cheese, 14 kg of rice, 7 kg of lentils, 8 kg wheat and 2 kg of millet were arranged. Based on this standard, their diet was taken care of.
The German hangar was prepared and arranged in the grounds of Pataliputra Stadium, IAS building located in Patna. So that no one has trouble with the weather. Apart from this, special arrangements were made in all sports complexes. Apart from the team of 170 members, a large number of police forces were deployed for twenty four hours. So that there is no disruption in the game. Players and officials were also added to each other social media platforms including many WhatsApp Group, so that there is no obstruction in the exchange of information. Proper care was taken to transmit information related to food, security to all other important events. One nodal officer was made for every venue.
Bihar established a special identity
All the facilities and convenience related to sports have also had a direct impact on the sports talents here. A large number of young players came out on the plank. In the last seven years, there has been a 620 percent increase in the field of sports. This time in all 28 competitions, players of Bihar won a total of 36 medals, including 7 gold. Last year, only 5 medals were won, which had only two gold. Bihar’s ranking has improved at the national level to 14th position.
