Khushi Kapoor chose a striped beaded gown by Gaurav Gupta with a subtle fishtail flare

At the very first showcase of Gaupta de Gaupta in Gaupta in Mumbai, Khushi Kapoor was present to support his sister Janhvi Kapoor, who closed the show as a showstopper. The event marked the launch of the Gupta Indian Couture collection, in quantum intrigue, unveiled on August 8 at the Jio World Convention Center.

For the evening, Khushi chose a sleeveless dress without the designer from his Couture 2024 collection, Jyotirgamaya. The pearl dress had a high and adjusted neck which gave structure with the otherly fluid silhouette. It was embroidered by hand everywhere with vertical stripes of bug pearls in transparent and metallic silver, each strip depending on the seams of the garment to extend the frame and take the light with a minimal movement. The embroidery varied in density through the bodice and the hips, visually improving the contours of the dress. Towards the hem, the dress subtly broke out in a light siren shape, giving a swish.
The show itself marked an important step for the designer, because it was his first conceptualized bridal seam collection as a theatrical journey through a modern Indian wedding. Entitled Quantum in tangle, the show took place in three immersive spaces, guiding more than 500 guests from the time of the cocktail to the wishes at the reception. Inspired by the theory of physics from which he takes his name, the collection explored his theme through double tone chords, mirror silhouettes and flexible embroidery. Think of the sculpted sari dresses, the lehengas integrated with 3D flowers, banarasi brocaras woven over 200 days and superimposed with an ancient inspiration. Bridalwear has been redesigned with network sails, mother -of -pearl inlays and architectural Corsry, punching on tradition with an innovation led by precision.
