Khushi Kapoor’s Manish Malhotra sari was embellished with rainbow Swarovski crystals
Kapoor’s look remembers the ivory play by Malaika Arora by Manish Malhotra. Brought for the Melbourne Indian Film Festival in August 2024, his whole was made up of a mermaid skirt, a sari in tulle attached with a path and a bralat. The whole was scared of Swarovski crystals, glitter and glass pearls.

The sari of Neha Dhupia by Disha Patil also presented a half and a half style, like that of Kapoor, with discreet folds and a ornate pallu. Organza’s drape is animated with meticulous surface ornamentation, including complex embroidery with pearls and cutdana as floral patterns. It is the result of more than 500 hours of hand dexterity, according to the designer.
