L2: The creator of Empuraan Gokulam Gopalan’s Chit Fund Company violated the FEMA law, claims Ed during the raids

In recent weeks, the controversy has lasted the film L2: Empuran, which has created polarization among films lovers, Mohanlal fans and political parties. The unity of the Bharatiya Janata (BJP) party in Kerala has adopted a balanced but incredible position in the controversy on Emopuran, a Malayalam Political Thriller Film L2 :, with Mohanlal and directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. This position of the BJP is also incredible because one of the reasons for the dispute was a reference to the riots of Gujarat in 2002, a question towards which the party is sensitive. This controversy takes place continuously, on the other hand, on the other hand, the producer of the film has also undergone a crisis.

There was no immediate Gopalan response or his company on the allegations of ED. This investigation is underway at a time when Prithviraj-Mohanlal was controversial due to the second part of “Loucifer” under the series of three L2 films: Empuran “right-wing and indirect mention of the riots of Gujarat.
The “L2: Emopuran”, considered one of the most expensive films in Malayalam cinema, was released on March 27 and quickly became the subject of political debate due to the criticism of right -wing policy and the indirect mention of the riots of Gujarat in 2002. The other producers of the film are Antony Perumbavur and Subaskaran under the banner of Ashirwad Cinemas and La respectively.
Another film producer, Antony Permbavur, told journalists in Kochi earlier this month that more than two minutes of scenes had been removed from the film after the dispute. ED said that he had received “intelligence” information that Mr. Gokulam Chits and Finance Company collected contributions for the CHIT funds from people living outside India without taking permission from the competent authority.
According to the agency, “the amount of members of these people was taken in cash in violation of the rules established by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI)”.
