Rishabh pant reaction: Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant said that after the team lost by 8 wickets on his own home ground, he said that he scored 20 to 25 runs. During this, he also gave a statement about the wicket. According to Rishabh, the slow ball was coming. Let me tell you, Lucknow scored 171 runs while batting first after losing the toss. Punjab Kings came out to chase the target from Lucknow, on the basis of half -century innings of Prabhasimran Singh and Shreyas Iyer, in 16.2 overs.

Lucknow was playing the first match of the season at her home ground. In such a situation, the fans were expected that Pant and Company would win but it did not happen. At the same time, Pant said in the post match presentation after the defeat, “It was not enough, we were left behind 20-25 runs. It is a part of the game – our first domestic match was so still assessing the situation.”

The captain of the super giant admitted that the poor start had an impact on his total score. Pant said, “Surely. When you lose the initial wicket, it is always difficult (making a big score). You cannot control everything but every player was trying to take the match forward.”

He said, “The idea was to get a slow wicket. I think the slow ball was coming a little. We did not perform very well. We will learn and move forward. Surely there are many positive things. At the beginning of the tournament, the team still has to find a lot of things and hope that it will be good for us.”

In the 13th match of IPL 2025, Punjab Kings won their second win by defeating Lucknow Super Giants by eight wickets on Wednesday. In this brilliant victory, the strong innings of captain Shreyas Iyer, Nehal Vadhera and opener batsman Prabhasimran Singh played an important role.

Prabhasimran Singh scored an innings of 69 runs in 34 balls in an explosive manner with the help of nine fours and three sixes, for which he was chosen as ‘Player of the Match’. Batting first, Lucknow had set a target of 172 runs in front of Punjab, which Punjab achieved by losing two wickets in 16.2 overs.

Lucknow, batting first, scored 171 runs at the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. After losing the toss, the Lucknow team came out under pressure from the beginning. The Punjab bowlers performed brilliantly and gave the initial shocks to Lucknow. Arshdeep Singh dismissed Mitchell Marsh for zero in the first over.

After this, Aidan Marakram and Nicholas Puran added 31 runs for the second wicket, but the locality Ferguson dismissed the Markram and took Lucknow’s score to three wickets for 35 runs. After this, Punjab bowlers kept pressure on Lucknow. Lucknow captain Rishabh Pant was caught by Glenn Maxwell in the leg side by Yuzvendra Chahal. Pant could only score two runs.

Nicholas Puran tried to give life to the team’s innings by adding 54 runs for the fourth wicket with Ayush Badouni. However, Chahal dismissed Puran and brought Punjab to the match again. Puran scored 44 runs off 30 balls, including five fours and two sixes.
