Madhuri Dixit Nene’s sari by Shyamal & Bhumika was crafted with rich velvet and weightless tulle

We reinvented velvet with a modern touch by mixing it with delicate tulle seen on the blushing pink folds in the drape. The velvet also offers complex embroidery and lotus patterns from Zardozi embroidery, “said Scyamal and Bhumika Shodhan designers.

For a Diwali evening in Birmingham in 2023, London, Preity Zinta opted for a rich sari in black velvet with a border meticulously embroidered with scallops. Its Shaveta & Anuj look was completed by a complete black velvet blouse.
