Car Price Hike for 2025: The country’s veteran auto company Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) on Friday announced to increase the prices of its SUV and commercial vehicles by 3 percent. The company said that the new prices will be applicable from April 2025. The reason for this is the increase in input costs and the price of commodity. On behalf of the M&M, it was said that an attempt was made to bear the increased cost to a great extent, but now it was necessary to pass one part of it.
The company said in the official statement that the increase in prices is based on different models of SUVs and commercial vehicles.
Total auto sales including exports in February 83,702 units
The company recently announced that its total auto sales have been 83,702 units in February. In the ‘Utility Vehicle’ segment, Mahindra sold 50,420 SUVs in the domestic market and a total of 52,386 vehicles including exports. Domestic sales of commercial vehicles were 23,826 units.
Tractor sales also rise in February
The sale of the tractor of Mahindra & Mahindra was also seen in February. In February 2025, the sales of the tractor domestically were 23,880 units, which was more than the sales of 20,121 units in February 2024. The company has exported 1,647 tractors in February 2025, due to which the total tractor sales have been 25,527 units, which has a total of 21,672 in the last year. There were units.
Many veteran auto companies announced the increase in prices
Prior to Mahindra & Mahindra, other legendary auto companies of the country have also announced an increase in prices. This includes Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai Motor India, Kia, Honda, Rignold, and Tata Motors. Luxury car brands like BSW are also going to increase prices from next month.
According to media reports, the Indian automobile industry is facing rising prices of raw materials and more logistic expenses, increasing the production cost.
