Market fluctuations continue in the last trading day of financial year 2025, Sensex-Nifty rolled down

Stock Market Today: Indian stock market opened with a slight increase on Friday, 28 March 2025. The BSE Sensex was trading with an increase of 84.26 points (0.11%) at the level of 77,690.69. At the same time, the Nifty 50 was also showing a slight rise of 8.45 points (0.036%) at the level of 23,600.40. However, market fluctuations were seen in early trade. At 9:40 am, the Sensex was trading with a decline of 275.33 points (0.35%) and Nifty 80.90 points (0.34%).
The markets closed with an edge on the previous day i.e. Thursday. The Nifty 50 finished the trade at 23,591.95 and the Sensex at 77,606.43. However, the Nifty 50 was below its record high 26,277.35 to 2,685.4 points.
Pressure in global market
The US stock market closed down on Thursday, which also showed the impact on the Asian markets on Friday. Japan’s Nikkei 225 index fell 2.15% to 36,993. Asia Dow was trading at 3,686.45 below 1.51%. South Korea’s Kospi index fell 1.34% to 2,572, while China’s Shanghai Composite Index was flat at 3,373.74.
American tariff confusion in the market
US President Donald Trump has announced a 25% tariff on foreign cars and auto parts. The purpose of this decision is to promote domestic manufacturing, but this may increase pressure on auto companies that depend on the global supply chain. There is confusion in the market due to Trump’s decision, especially when this tariff is going to be implemented from April 2.
Foreign investors made buyers in March
Foreign institutional investors (FII), who have been selling continuously for the last five months, have returned to shopping in March. So far this month, he has made a net purchase of Rs 6,367 crore. On Thursday, FII bought shares worth Rs 11,111.25 crore, due to which he became a pure buyer for the first time after six months.
