Mocking the leader: Is it important?

A Bihar politician was kicked out for seven months for teasing Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Sounds extreme, right? The same is true for the Supreme Court. It ruled that such punishment was too harsh and unfair. In fact, the Election Commission even plans to replace his new election before the court intervenes and stops the court.
The court does say that the politician jokes are rude and inappropriate, but does that really lead to eviction? Politicians across the country are saying things worse, especially for women, and no one seems to care.
The real problem? Politics is losing sense of humor. In the past, leaders would tease each other, cartoonists would tease them, and everyone laughed. But now, many politicians act at all. Some even put cartoonists in jail! Leaders should learn to make jokes and fight with more interesting people, rather than being so sensitive. After all, the best way to deal with a bad joke is with a better joke!
