“More on your body …” Glenn McGragra told how can Jasprit Bumrah can lengthen his career

Indian cricket team fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is out of the opening matches of IPL 2025. Bumrah was injured on the second day of the last match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series between India and Australia and has been away from action since then. Bumrah is still passing through the rehab. Meanwhile, former Australian fast bowler Glenn McGrain has said that Bumrah will have to work hard outside the field so that India can get their services when needed, as he is a valuable player.

Jasprit Bumrah stayed out of the Champions Trophy due to tension in the back. On the last day of the fifth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Bumrah did not bowl at all and since then he has been in the Center of Excellence in Bangalore. Talking to the Times of India, McGraw said, “He puts more pressure on his body than the rest of the bowlers. They have found ways to manage it, but unfortunately not all the time. He has done so before, he would know better than someone that the time of recovery, time spent in the gym.”

Glenn McGrag continued, “They will have to work even more hard outside the field. Being a fast bowler is like driving a car. If you do not fill the fuel in it, then your fuel will end late. My fuel was bigger than Jaspreet because I did not bowl like him.”

Meanwhile, according to media reports, Bumrah can miss the first few matches of IPL 2025 for Mumbai Indians. Because he has not yet recovered from back injury. It is expected that Bumrah will join the team early next month. On getting approval from the medical team, Bumrah can be seen playing in the IPL.
