Son of Sardar, the actor of R. Mukul Dev, famous for his roles in films like Rajkumar and Jai Ho, died on Friday evening. He was 54 years old.
The cause of death has not yet been confirmed. The declaration is expected by his family or colleagues.Actress Depshikha Nagpal, who is her near friend, confirmed the news via social media. He shared an old photo with Mukul Dev on Instagram Stories, who said: “It’s not sure. Rip.”

Actor-host Mukul Dev died on May 24 at the age of 54. While the film industry and his fans mourn his death, we miss the incredible value of his father Hari Dev Kaushal, who was a police officer living in Delhi. It was officially announced in 2024 that a film would be made about it. For those who do not know, Hari Dev Kaushal belonged to a renowned group of police officers who were known for their remarkable expertise and compassion. Mukul started his game with the 1996 Dastak film. The film was directed by Mahesh Bhatt and wrote it by Vikram Bhatt. In this film, he played a negative role of the ACP Rohit Malhotra and he obtained the recognition of his performance in this romantic drama. In addition to Mukul, the film also features Sushmita Sen, Kapoor de Sharad, Bhavna Dutta, Vishwajit Pradhan and the actors of Apna, Tiku Talsania and Manoj Bajpayee, in the main roles.
In her acting career for more than two decades, Mukul has worked in numerous Bollywood films, television shows and regional cinema. He is known for his work in films like “Jungle”, “Yeh Hai Jalwa” and “Indian” in the late 1990s and in the early 2000s.
Significantly, not only Bollywood, but also the development was active in regional cinema, especially in Punjabi and Bengali films. Mukul also worked with eminent celebrities of Bollywood like Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha and Ajay Devgan in the film Sun of Sardar in 2012. He was also seen in the main roles with Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Dharmendra, Puneet Issar and Anupam Kher in the 2011 Dramatic Film Deewana ”.
He was seen for the last time in the 2023 “Sarabha” film, in which he played the role of “Harnam Singh Tundilat”. The film was written and directed by the poet Raj and it also features Mahavir Bhullar, Kavi Raj and Ankur Rathi in main roles. The IMDB rating of the film is 8.9.
