Mutual Fund raised Rs 1.18 lakh crore in 2024 through NFO, these funds were the first choice of investors

The year 2024 was very special for mutual funds. Asset Management Companies raised Rs 1.18 lakh crore by launching 239 new fund offers (NFO). This information is given in a report.
NFO’s demand increased in 2024
According to a report by Germinate Investor Services Research, mutual funds were very popular among investors in 2024. Investors showed the most interest in social subject -based funds, Index Funds and Exchange Traded Funds – ETFs.
Big jump than previous years
In 2023, Rs 63,854 crore was raised through 212 NFOs and Rs 62,187 crore in 2022 to Rs 62,187 crore. While 2020, which was the year of Kovid-19 epidemic, Rs 53,703 crore was raised from only 81 NFOs.
The 2024 figures show that Mutual Fund Industry is steadily increasing. This growing pace of issuing NFO shows that the trust of investors in the market is getting stronger.
Why became NFO’s choice of investors?
New fund offers (NFOs) are usually launched when there is a boom in the market and investors are optimistic. Experts believe that the better performance of the stock market in 2024 and the positive perception of investors promoted mutual fund investment.
