Public transport stalled, streets jammed

Prem Kishore Mohanty, who lives in Sukhumavit, Bangkok with a 5 -year -old daughter and 42 -year -old wife, said that the earthquake suddenly stalled in Bangkok. Public transport was stopped. Traffic jams in the major streets and people gathered outside the buildings, and everything started waiting for it to be cleaned.

People living in tall buildings fell

Mohanty lives in an apartment tower. He said, “People were asked to use stairs to avoid fire and wait outside the buildings. The low -height buildings did not have that much impact, but some people living on the upper floors of high buildings say their belongings fell from the cupboard and the pipeline broke.”

‘Retired German after getting down directly from the 22nd floor’

Mohanty further said, “My neighbor on the 22nd floor is a retired German, who ran down the stairs with his pet cat after the earthquake. He did not stop before reaching the lobby. We have many Japanese migrants in the lower pleasant region, and they have not seen such a big earthquake in their lives.”

Earthquake holds the entire city, transport still closed

Mohanty told NDTV, “Such a sharp earthquake in Bangkok is rare, and this earthquake that came on Friday afternoon held the entire city. Public transport is currently closed. Traffic is currently blocked everywhere. People are still standing outside the buildings and waiting for the green signal.”
