Neha Dhupia’s sari-inspired Anamika Khanna gown came with a sweeping embroidered pallu
The sparkle of glitter and Zardozi announced the arrival of Neha Dhupia before she does it, wrapped in a dress inspired by Anamika Khanna Sari who transformed crafts into the art of performance. An austere black column high on the thigh formed the base, covered with a embroidered drape that swept a shoulder and fell like a modern pallu on the ground.
The embellishment was dense: glitter, pearls and zardozi were arranged in oversized leaves and flowers in ancient gold and silver. Against the minimalist base, embroidery sparkled like armor, emphasizing the Khanna instinct to transform the traditional profession into something resolutely contemporary.
Neha Dhupia treated all around the dress like a stage lighting; Paided return so that the embroidery has remained the script. Her hair was pulled straight and elegant, left to fall behind the back. Makeup remained in hot tones: tanned covers, light skin, mute beige lips, all designed to complete the metal draping without competing with it.
The accessories worked less as an ornament and more like reinforcements. Surprised floral studs reflected the patterns of the dress, while only one ring added a punctuation. Even the choice of shoes felt choreographed: the classic black Louboutins, their red soles flashing briefly through the slit, offering a last beat of drama.
