Oscar Academy 2025 | 534 artists including Kamal Haasan, Ayushman Khurana, Payal Kapadia and more invited the academy
Awaiting enthusiastically for film fans around the world, Oscar is considered the highest honor in the film industry. According to News18, the Oscar administration directly invited Indian cinema philosopher and versatile actor Kamal Haasan to be part of a voting committee to select films for the award. This is considered a very enjoyable milestone in his film career.

Apart from this, actor Falmaker Kamal Hasan, Bollywood actor Ayushman Krarana and writer director Paial Kapadia of “All v Imaiji Light” are one of 534 artists invited to this year’s Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (Oscar Academy). This year’s list includes many influential names from a variety of Hollywood and international film genres, including many Indian artists.
Apart from Hassan, Khurana and Kapadia, this list also features Karan Mali, casting director for the film “Gully Boy.” “We’ve been working hard to get the better of our customers,” said Bill Cramer, CEO of the Academy and Chairman Janet Yang.He has made a significant contribution to filmmaking and the global film community. ‘

In the 2025 invited category, 41% of women, 45% of representative communities and 55% of people come from 60 countries and regions outside the US. These include 91 Oscar nominations, 26 winners and three Science and Technology Award winners. Other major names include Gillian Anderson, Jodie Comer, Emma Collin, Karen Culkin, Margaret Quali, Andrew Scott and Jermi Strong.

Director category invites names such as Korari Fargate, Mike Flanagan, and Miguel Gomez. Academy membership is provided only through 19 branches and one category of registration. The candidate must be nominated by two members of the same category.
