‘Pakistan learned from America, Hafiz Saeed and Lakhvi handed over to India like Tehwwur’- Clear message of Ambassador from Israel

Operation Sindoor: Calling to form an international alliance against terrorism, India’s Ambassador to Israel, JP Singh, emphasized that India’s operation against Pakistan is “stalled”, “not finished”. He demanded that the US has handed over one of the masterminds of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack to India- similarly Pakistan should be handed over to India, the major terrorists living here, Hafiz Saeed, Sajid Mir and Zakiur Rahman Lakhvi.
Diplomat JP Singh, who has previously worked in Pakistan, interviewed an Israeli TV channel i24 on Monday, May 19. Talking about India’s Operation Sindoor, he said that this operation was initially against terrorist groups in Pakistan. The Indian Ambassador, citing the April 22 Pahalgam attack, said, “The terrorists killed people on the basis of their religion. They asked their religion before killing people and 26 innocent people lost their lives.”
Asked if the ceasefire continues between the two countries and whether it is a ‘end of the case’ for India, JP Singh gave a clear reply saying that “the ceasefire is still intact but we have made it clear that the operation sindoor is stalled, it is not over yet”.
He said, “The fight against terrorism will continue. We have done a new normal establishment and the new is that we will follow an aggressive strategy. Wherever the terrorists are, we have to kill those terrorists and we have to destroy their infrastructure. So it is still not over but as we say, the ceasefire is still there.”
Describing India’s attack on Noor Khan base on the morning of May 10, JP Singh said that this caused panic in Pakistan and his DGMO contacted his Indian counterpart demanding a ceasefire.
Pakistan has described the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty (IWT) as a “war action”. On a question related to this, the Indian envoy said that the two major words directing the treaty were never respected and on the contrary India is always struggling against the terrorist attacks from Pakistan.
JP Singh said, “The IWT was signed in 1960 and the preamble of the treaty includes two major words – goodwill and friendship … what we have seen in the last several years (that’s that) we were allowing water to flow and what Pakistan was doing – they were allowing terrorists (attacks) on the Indian border.”
“Terrorism should stop”, the Indian Ambassador emphasized that such a treaty should be implemented and Pakistan should stop crossing the border. Citing a long list of terrorist attacks started from Pakistan in India, JP Singh said that “The root is these two groups-Jaish-e-Muhammad and Lashkar-e-Taiba”.
He said that the leaders of Lashkar-e-Taiba are roaming openly behind the Mumbai attack, in which many Jews were also killed. Ambassador JP Singh insisted, “They need to do a very simple thing – when the preamble involves goodwill and friendship, they just need to hand over these terrorists to us.”
He said that recently the US had extradited Tehwavur Hussain Rana involved in the Mumbai attack. Islamabad can also do this after learning from this. He insisted, “When America can hand over these culprits, why can’t Pakistan be handed over? They will have to hand over Hafeez Saeed, Lakhvi, Sajid Mir and things will end.”
Arguing that terrorism is a global threat, the Indian messenger called for more cooperation among the countries facing a challenge.
