Pakistan: Suicide attack on army camp in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 9 people killed, 6 terrorists also killed

Two suicidal attackers of the terrorist group entered the army premises filled with explosives, followed by a terrible explosion. 9 people died in this blast. The dead include three children and two women. At least 20 others have been injured in both explosions.

An attack took place in Bannu district of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. At least 8 houses were damaged due to the intensity of the blasts. According to the official, in addition to two suicide attacks, 6 terrorists were killed in firing. Apart from this, 12 other terrorists tried to attack the campus. But he has taken responsibility for this attack by Hafiz Gul Bahadur Armed Group, which is a known group supporting Afghan Taliban.

The group said in a statement without giving more details, “Our fighters got access to an important goal and took control.” The attack took place a few days after the murder of six people by a suicide bomber at an Islamic religious school in Pakistan, including the leading Taliban leaders of the same province.

Similar attacks in Pakistan have increased since the Taliban authorities return to power in Afghanistan in August 2021. Hafiz Gul Bahadur attacked the same complex in the last July in which the explosive -filled vehicle was blown against the boundary wall, killing eight Pakistani soldiers.
