The first statement from Pakistan has come on the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir. On this attack, which killed at least 26 people, Pakistan said on Wednesday, 23 April that it is “worried about the loss of tourists’ lives.” Responding to media questions regarding the attack, Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokesman Shafkat Khan said in a statement that “We are worried about the loss of life of tourists in an attack in Anantnag district of India ……

The thing to note here is that even on this sad opportunity, Pakistan did not desist from its actions. In this statement, Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokesman Shafkat Khan used objectionable term for India’s sovereign region Kashmir, which we are not mentioning in this report.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday laid a wreath on the bodies of 26 people killed in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Home Minister Shah also met the survivors and assured that the criminals of this cowardly attack would be brought into the dock of justice. Later, the Home Minister interacted with the families of those who died in the terrorist attack. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to have an important meeting with the Cabinet Committee of Security Affairs (CCS) in some time, in which India will formulate its response and defense strategy. PM Modi also held a meeting with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Foreign Minister S Jaishankar on Wednesday morning after stopping the visit to Saudi Arabia.

At the same time, it was not even 24 hours of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam that the terrorists tried to infiltrate Baramulla. However, the Indian Army, taking action promptly, killed two terrorists and thwarted the attempt to infiltrate.
