Peter Brook Mahabharata will be unveiled for the London Indian Film Festival 2025

The renovation of the great British director Peter Brook’s Mahabharata will be digitally restored to the big screen, and will be held in the UK for its British premiere at this year’s London Indian Film Festival (LIFF). In this 1989 film, Marika Sarabai played the role of Draupadi. Draupadi was part of the great global actors who obtained a Central Gala Red Corruption Screen at the Central Gala Red Carpet Screen at the Central Gala Red Carpet Screen (BFI) at the British Film Institute (BFI).

Many international actors have appeared in the film. Next month, the film will have “Central Gala Red Carpet Screening” at the British Film Institute (BFI) on the largest IMAX screen. Talking stories of love, philosophy and war, the film is a general transformation of epic stories that include humanity as a whole. The film is screening on the 100th anniversary of director Brooke. Brooke was awarded Padma Shuri by the Indian government in 2021.

Liff 2025 also has many other attraction films, including the Tamil film Little Jaffna and the Assamese film Village Rockstars 2 by director Reema Das. Festival director Carrie Rajinder said, “We are pleased to present the best Indian films in South Asia in London and Birmingham in July. These include Lawrence Valin’s Little Jaffna, Indian director Laksmipriya Devi’s film Bungi, and Padmashri veteran Britten directed by Peter Brook, Peter Doubok.”
He said the programme organized during the festival would showcase the creative capabilities of the UK, settle South Asian filmmakers and look for future partnerships with Indian filmmakers. A new programme has also been added to encourage talent in England and South Asian countries at festivals, which will be held in London and Birmingham from July 16th to 23rd.
The programme is part of an effort to connect the country’s South Asian youth with the film industry. This new initiative is collaborating with RIFCO Theatre. In addition to this, the festival’s regular “Brit Asian Shorts” program will continue.
