‘PM Modi will further strengthen relations between people’: PM Modi said on opening of Indian embassy in Marsile

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Marsile with French President Emmanuel Macron and said that the opening of the Indian consulate here will further strengthen relations between India and France. Meanwhile, the PM has reached the Mazargas war cemetery. There is a memorial here, which is built in memory of Indian soldiers who sacrificed the supreme sacrifice in the World War. On reaching Marsile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Indian migrants at the hotel. During this, PM Modi was also seen calling and loving a little girl.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also posted a post on X after reaching Marsile. In this, he wrote that President Macron and I reached Marsile a while ago. There will be important programs aimed at connecting India and France in this journey. The Indian consulate that is being inaugurated will deepen the relationship between the people. I will also pay tribute to the Indian soldiers who were martyred in the first and second world war. In addition, they are set to visit the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) project, a global nuclear fusion initiative in Cadarache.
Indians showed tremendous enthusiasm
When PM Modi reached Marsile, there was tremendous enthusiasm among the Indians living there. Earlier, on Tuesday evening, Prime Minister Modi arrived in Marsile with French President Macron, where he co-headed the AI Action Summit during the day. Prime Minister Modi thanked the people of Marsile for his role in the escape of Veer Savarkar during colonial rule.
He posted on X, “In search of India’s independence, this city holds special significance. This is where the great hero Savarkar tried to flee in a courageous way. I also thank the people of Marsile and the French workers of that time. I want those who demanded that they not be assigned to British custody.
In his address, Prime Minister Modi called for an investment in providing skills to people for the future of artificial intelligence (AI) and giving them skills again. He also said that governance means to ensure access to all, especially in the global south.
France confirmed that India would host the next AI summit, when Prime Minister Modi showed interest. India also assured France of full support for its initiative on AI. The Prime Minister also spoke at the India-France CEOS Forum in Paris, where he encouraged the partnership between the businesses of the two countries.
Highlighting the progress in manufacturing, infrastructure and production in various fields, Modi called upon businesses to join the Indian market, as the country is working towards the goal of ‘developed India’ by 2047.
