RCB vs pbks: ‘I think …’, Who is responsible for the defeat of Punjab?, Coach Ricky Ponting’s statement created a stir

Ricky Ponting Statement on Punjab Kings Lose vs RCB: Punjab Kings head coach Ricky Ponting Royal Challengers were disappointed with their team’s batting efforts against Bangalore (RCB) as they feel that the pitch was better than 157 runs made during the seven -wicket defeat in the IPL match on Sunday. Chasing the target, Virat Kohli contributed 73 unbeaten while Devdutt Padikkal contributed 61 runs, making RCB win with seven balls remaining. Potting said in a press conference after the match,
“I think the wicket was better than 157 runs.” Many of our batsmen started well but did not make big scores and this is important in T20 cricket, especially with top -order batsmen. And this is the difference. ”Ponting asked his team to learn from Kohli how he took advantage of a good start. He said, “Virat stayed from the beginning to the end tonight. He won his team and we were not able to take advantage of the good start. I think at the end of the power play we had scored 62 runs on one wicket which was almost the same score of the game you expect.
Ponting said, “So your eyes were directly on the score of more than 180 runs, even if your middle order batting well, we can reach 200 but we lost a lot of wickets tonight, which is not the first time in the tournament.”
Ponting praised RCB spinners Suyash Sharma and Krunal Pandya and also felt that Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood bowled brilliantly between 17 and 20 overs. He said, “I felt that his spinners bowled well and finally his death overs bowling was extraordinary.” The four overs that Bhuvi and Hazlewood threw in the end, we felt that we would reach close to 180 but their death overs bowling was very good and we kept struggling for 157 runs.
