According to a report from the government news agency RT on Sunday, 3 August, Russia is going to start a human test of new vaccines against cancer in the next few months. These tests will be conducted at the Moscow -based Hartson Research Institute and Blokhin Cancer Center, while the Gamalaya Center will produce the vaccine.
Vaccine dose will be personal
Alexander Gintsburg, director of the Gamalaya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, said that each vaccine dose would be individual and will be given to a group of patients with melanoma. MRNA drug based on neontization is specially created using their specific tumor data for each patient. It cannot be used for anyone else.
This vaccine will prevent cancer development
Andrey Kapin, director of Radiology Medical Research Center of Russian Ministry of Health, has said that Russia has developed its own MRNA vaccine against cancer. Two major oncology institutes- Hartson Research Institute and Blokhin Cancer Center at Moscow are leading this effort. According to RT, the development of the vaccine began in mid -2022.
