Saif Ali Khan ‘I heard screams from Jeh’s room’: Saif Ali Khan narrated the horrific story in his police statement
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is always in the news these days. After the fatal attack on Saif Ali Khan at his home, he has now recorded his statement before the police. Saif Ali Khan was injured in the attack, after which he had to be admitted to the hospital.
Doctors performed his operation at the hospital. Now, two days after his discharge from the hospital, Saif Ali Khan gave his statement to the Bandra police on Thursday. In one horrific incident, the actor narrated how he woke up to hearing screams coming from his youngest son Jeh’s bedroom and confronted his attacker.
Saif made a statement to the police
In his statement, Saif said that he was with his wife Kareena Kapoor in his room on the 11th floor of the Satguru Sharan building. Around 2:30 in the evening, he heard the cries of his youngest son Jeh’s nanny. They awoke to the screams and rushed into the room where they saw the intruder. The nanny – Eliama Phillips – screamed while Jah cried.
Saif said he tried to stop and subdue the intruder, but the intruder attacked him with a knife, stabbing him repeatedly in the back, neck and hands. The actor said that when Nani ran away with Jeh, he pushed the intruder inside the room, NDTV reported, citing police sources. Saif said that after this he locked the intruder in the room.
Police sources said that when Khan tried to arrest the accused, he stabbed the actor multiple times with a knife in the back, neck and hands. Although he was injured, the actor pushed the intruder inside the room, while Ms. Phillips fled with Jeh and locked him in the room, he said.
Saif was injured
Saif Ali Khan suffered six injuries in the attack, including deep wounds to his neck and back. The actor was admitted to Lilavati Hospital on Thursday morning, where he underwent surgery to remove part of the knife from his back. Doctors also repaired spinal fluid leaks.
Saif was discharged from Lilavati hospital on Tuesday and returned to his apartment in Bandra. The police provide temporary protection to Saif, Kareena and their two children, Taimur and Jeh. The family has two agents who will ensure her safety every time she goes out.
The accused is a Bangladeshi national. He was arrested and is in police custody. Police say he targeted Saif’s house with the intention of robbing him and was unaware of the actor’s fame.
