Self-hypnosis transformed my morning routine. Here’s why it works

My next stop was naturally internet to find out more about self-hypnosis. A form of hypnotherapy that does not require the therapist to be physically present, self-hypnosis consists in listening to pre-recorded sessions and absorbing their content. It is cheaper and no appointments are required.
What is self-hypnosis?
“Self-hypnosis is when you guide yourself in the same focused state as you would do during hypnotherapy but without external therapist,” describes Fluri. “The central process (shrinking your concentration, relaxing deeply and becoming more open to suggestion) is the same.
The first application that I found, Doddle of the Practitioner of Hypnosis Emily Leyes, ended up being one of my two favorites. There are sessions for everything, from the best sleep to the relief of stress, to improve concentration, sustained motivation, adoption of habits, future self-visualization and much more.
Grace, an application of the Elite Performance Hypnotherapist Grace Smith, is the other I love. The sessions are longer and slightly more niche, covering subjects such as parenting, SCI (which can be exacerbated by stress), support for the crisis and insomnia. Contrary to meditation, which seemed to invite toasts and effirctions of concentration, to which I appreciated but which did not really believe, hypnosis gave me a form of positive strengthening which did not make me feel that I had to make anything to receive it. For example, Leyes, in one of his sessions, reminds the listener not to emphasize whether their objective begins to decline – something in the gray fabric, the information is absorbed.
What does it self-hypnotize?
The first question that people ask is always the same: does it work? In many ways, this is the case. I found myself feeling calmer and less panicked in situations where my sympathetic (stressed) nervous system was generally going to enter the action. I was able to identify more clearly the moments when I tend to reach peanut butter as emotional support, rather than a dose of healthy fats.
With the Doom scrolling, I found and downloaded an application strictly (read: cannot be replaced) blocks social media with the exception of one hour each morning. Spend time every morning to visualize my future me and the decisions I would like to make it easier for changes, like getting out of my phone and the wardrobe, easier. The thing I want was more obvious, however, is that hypnotherapy (and self-hypnosis) is not another word for “magic”. Like other practices, it requires a coherent application in order to harvest the results.
