Since its launch, this electric car has plundered the market, being number 1 in sales for three consecutive months.

The new MG Windsor EV is becoming more and more popular with each passing month. While it was the best-selling electric car in India in October and November, it became the best-selling car in December, beating all models from competing automakers. JSW MG Motor India claimed that the Windsor EV retained its top position in the electric passenger vehicle segment for the third consecutive month with sales of 3,785 units.

MG Windsor EV was the segment leader with sales of 3,116 units in October. It topped the charts again in November with 3,144 units. In three months, Windsor EV crossed the 10,000 units sold mark, bringing the total to 10,045 units. These are good numbers for the new model as the electric car segment in India is still nascent, accounting for less than 3% of the total cars sold in the domestic market.
Priced between Rs 13.50 lakh and Rs 15.50 lakh (ex-showroom), the MG Windsor EV has a claimed range of 332 km (ARAI certified) on a single full charge. Under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, the vehicle can be rented for Rs 9.99 lakh + Rs 3.5 per battery kilometer. Although there is no direct rival for the MG Windsor EV, there are some budget models in the electric car segment like the Tata Tiago.EV, Tata Punch.EV, Tata Nexon.EV, Tata Curve.EV, the Mahindra XUV400 and the Citroën e. -C3.
