Padma prices information
These prices are also awarded in three categories known as the highest civil honor – Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri. The Padma Awards are awarded on the recommendations made by the Padma Price Committee, which is formed by the Prime Minister each year. The Padma Prize Committee is chaired by the secretary of the cabinet and joined the interior secretary, secretary of the president and four to six prestigious people as members. The committee’s recommendations are sent to the Prime Minister and the President of India for approval.
