Stock market jumped today to welcome Trump 2.0, then suddenly Sensex fell 700 points, Nifty slipped from 23,200.

Today, tremendous fluctuations were seen in the stock market in early trading. While there was a bullish atmosphere in the market after the swearing in of Donald Trump in America, after some time the market trend suddenly changed. After initial gains, both the major indices Sensex and Nifty slipped.

At 10:25 am, BSE Sensex is trading at 76,547.18 with a huge fall of 776.91 points or 1.01%. At the same time, Nifty 50 fell by 188.45 points and reached 23,156.30, which is a decline of 0.81%.

Today, on January 21, 2025, the Indian stock markets opened with gains. After the beginning of Donald Trump’s second term, the effect of enthusiasm in the global markets was also seen on the Indian markets. BSE Sensex opened with a gain of 188.28 points at 77,261.72, which shows a rise of 0.24%. At the same time, NIFTY 50 also started with a gain of 76.90 points at 23,421.65, which is an increase of 0.33%.

Investors hope that in Trump’s new term, trade policies will improve and the global economy will accelerate, which will also benefit the Indian markets.

Rupee strengthened by 28 paise against dollar

The rupee made a strong start on Tuesday and opened at 86.29 against the dollar with a rise of 28 paise. This increase has come due to weakness in the dollar index. According to Bloomberg data, the rupee closed at 86.57 per dollar on Monday. After Donald Trump was sworn in as President, the dollar index fell by 1% and slipped below 108.

Rise in many shares of Adani Group

Many shares of Adani Group opened in the green today. In early trade, especially the shares of cement companies ACC and Ambuja Cement are trading with a rise of more than 1.6%. Apart from this, gains were also seen in shares of Adani Power, Adani Total Gas, Adani Wilmar and NDTV.

The stock market remained bullish on Monday amid a strong trend globally. Yesterday, BSE Sensex closed with a gain of 454 points (0.59%) while NSE Nifty closed with a gain of 23,344.75 points (0.61%).
