Stock Market Today: Stock market returns bullish, Sensex jumps 300 points, Nifty crosses 23,100

Stock Market Opening Bell: After yesterday’s huge fall in the Indian stock market, strength is being seen today. The stock market started trading in the green today, 22 January. BSE Sensex opened today at 76,114.42 with a gain of 276.06 points (0.36%), while NSE Nifty 50 opened at 23,099.15 with a gain of 74.50 points (0.32%).
Focus on upcoming Union Budget and global signals
At 9:20 am, BSE Sensex was trading at the level of 76,212.83 with a gain of 374.47 points. At the same time, NSE Nifty (Nifty 50) also reached the level of 23,113.95 with a gain of 89.30 points. Investors’ eyes are fixed on the upcoming Union Budget and global cues.
Adani Energy jumps more than 1% in early trade
With this, almost all the shares of Adani Group opened in the green. In which the highest rise was seen in the shares of Adani Energy Solutions. This stock was trading with a rise of Rs 1.43 in early trade.
IT, Financial Services, Pharma, FMCG, Private Bank, Infra and Services sectors remain bullish, while Auto, PSU Bank, Metal, Real Estate and Energy sectors are under pressure.
Top gainers and losers of Sensex
Top Sensex gainers include Sun Pharma, Infosys, ITC, TCS, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Titan, Bharti Airtel, HUL, L&T, Bajaj Finance, Nestle, Kotak Mahindra Bank and HCL Tech. At the same time, the top losers are Zomato, Power Grid, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, IndusInd Bank and SBI.
There was a huge decline in the stock market yesterday
However, yesterday i.e. on 21st January, there was a huge decline in the stock market. BSE Sensex closed at 75,838 with a big fall of 1,235 points (1.60%), while NSE Nifty closed at 23,024.65 with a fall of 320.10 points (1.37%). Due to this decline, the total market cap of all the companies listed on BSE had come down by about Rs 7 lakh crore to Rs 424 lakh crore.
