Stock Market Today: Stock market strong start, Sensex rises 500 points, Adani Group shares rise

The stock market started rapidly on the last trading day of the week i.e. Friday 23 May. At 9:45 am, the BSE Sensex saw a gain of 508.14 points (0.63%) and it reached the level of 81,460.13. At the same time, NSE Nifty was also seen trading beyond 24,784.35 with a gain of 174.65 points (0.71%).
Adi Group shares boom
In addition to the flagship company Adani Enterprises in Adani Group, Ada was trading with Ada Total Gas, Adani Green Energy, Adani Energy Solutions, Adani Ports, ACC, Ambuja Cement and NDTV with an increase in early trade.
ITC and IT stocks showed strength
In early trade, ITC shares saw a rise of about 2 percent. Along with this, the IT sector and real estate stocks also supported the market.
FMCG index leads
Talking about the sectoral index, the Nifty FMCG index recorded the highest growth of 1 percent. After this, the Nifty IT index saw a rise of 0.9 percent and the realty index 0.7 percent. Nifty metal and PSU bank index also remained in the green mark and both gained 0.5 percent.
However, some sectors also appeared in red mark. The pharma index recorded a decline of 0.9 percent, while the Consumer Durables index saw a slight decline of 0.1 percent.
