Mazhar ul Qamar, gym trainer of Aligarh Muslim University, says that when exercising in the gym in summer, the first thing to note is that the intensity of the workouts should not be too much. High-intensity workouts such as heavy weight training or extreme cardio should be avoided, especially when the body is already tired due to heat. Instead, it is better to focus on the exercise of medium intensity from lights such as brisk walk, static cycling, stretching, bodyweight exercise and yoga on the treadmill. It not only keeps the body active, but also protects against over-ex-expansion.
Keep a bottle of water in the gym
Apart from this, he told that it is very important to keep the body hydrated before and after workouts in summer. Lack of water can cause tiredness, dizziness and weakness. Therefore, while going to the gym, keep a bottle of water together and wear light, breathing clothes that absorb sweat easily. Choosing air conditioned or ventilated gym is also a sensible step, which keeps the body temperature under control.
