Tara Sutaria’s champagne Kanjeevaram sari gleams with zardozi and pearls

For Ganpati Chaturthi, Tara Sutaria has chosen a look that has remained close to traditional festive dressing codes in a kanjeevaram sari fabric by Tarun Tahiliani, worn with diamond jewelry and jasmine flowers in her hair.

The sari with champagne tones had a base of tissue silk which shone with a subtle shine, the edge on board covered in Zardozi, Aari, Sequin, Crystal and Pearl. Floral vines and geometric patterns have been arranged in vertical panels through the Pallu and the Borders, giving the rhythm and the structure of the appearance. The fabric itself – to the stiff nature of the saris of Kanjeevaram – brought the shape, while flowing, making the curtains rest elegantly. The blouse included eye sleeves entirely decorated with elbow and a strongly cut back with a pearl border. Stylish by Tanvi Ghavri and assisted by Srika Badkar, the sari was framed by pearl acorns towards the hem of the Pallu and the sleeves of the blouse.

The jewelry, taking a hard left of the minimalist jewelry trends, included a wide diamond and emerald neck which was seated high on the neck, twinned with earrings and matching bracelets. While the shape and design of the jewelry were rooted in the tradition, the mixture of gems impregnated it with contemporary styles.

Tara Sotaria’s hair was elegant, separated and pinned in a bun, finished with a group of jasmine. Its makeup was bright tanned cheeks, soft and smoked eyes framed with vaporous eyelashes and a shiny lip in a fishing tone.
