Aashiqui 3 by Karthik Aryan has been announced by filmmaker Anurag Basu and since then, fans are delighted to know how the new episode of the classic franchise will be. He said: “We are going to start shooting next month” and confirmed that the film was currently in the pre-production phase.By giving a big update on the next film, Anurag revealed that the film is in its pre-production phase, whose shooting should start in March.

Anurag told Ani“We haven’t started to shoot yet. We’re going to start coming next month.”The film is produced jointly by special films and T series. The details of women with the main role have not yet been made public.
Aashiqui 3 is the first cooperation on the screen between Anurag and Karthik. The original film of 1990 was directed by Mahesh Bhatt. He presented Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal in the main roles.In 2013, Mohit Suri relaunched Prem Katha Aashiqui 2 with Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapoor in the main roles.
Earlier in January 2025, Tripti Dimri was reported separated from the project, because manufacturers thought they were not suitable for this role. His daring scenes in the animal were cited as the reason for this, claiming that these scenes made him unsuitable for the representation of the traditional innocence and purity of Aashiqui 3. However, Anurag Basu Day: “It is not true. Tripti also knows it.”

Meanwhile, Anurag awaits the release of his next Metro film in Dino. The anthology film features Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Sheikh, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi and Konkona Sen Sharma in the main roles with Aditya Roy Kapoor.
