The BAFTA Film Awards 2025 winners list everything we imagine as light loses to Emilia Perez

One of the most prestigious events in the cinema world, the 78th British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA), finally began at London’s Royal Festival Hall, with actor David Tan Tent making his comeback as host for the second year in a row. The 78th British Academy Award for Film Awards is also known as the BAFTA Award. BAFTA is one of the most prestigious award shows, celebrating global films in a variety of categories, including direction and acting.

Films like Conclave and The Brutilist emerged as the biggest winners. Payal Kapadia’s All v Imagine Age Light was nominated for Best Film, not for the English category. However, Capadia’s film Jack Audiyard lost to Emilia Perez. This is the third time All V Imagine Age Light has been lost to Emilia Parkage. Previously, it didn’t even reach the Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Awards.

This year’s presenters include many names such as Selena Gomez, Zo Saladana, Ralph Fiena, and Joe Alvin. Additionally, actor Mark Hamill will be taking part in that. He will play a role in honoring his Star Wars co-star Warvik Davis in the BAFTA Fellowship. Other notable guest presenters include Pamela Anderson and Lupita Nyyo.
