The doctor filed a rape case against rapper Malayalam Hiradas Murali alias Vedan
Rap singer Malayalam Hiradas Murali, known as Vedan, was caught in a new controversy after a young doctor has filed a matter of rape against him. Trikkarakara police recorded a case against a 30 -year -old singer of Thrissur on Wednesday. Trikkarakara police recorded a case on Wednesday evening in Ernakulam, Kerala, when the petitioner approached the deputy police commissioner (Kochi) and recorded his statement.

The police gave this information on Thursday. The police said that the woman doctor had allegedly alleged that Vedan had sexually assaulted her on several occasions in various places in the state between 2021-2023. A senior police official said that an FIR had been filed against the rapper under article 376 (rape) and 376 (2) (n) (rape of the same woman on several occasions) at the Thrikkarkakara police station late Wednesday evening.
Kochi City Police Commissioner Putta Vimaladeya told journalists that the investigation was in the initial stadium and that no notice had yet been sent to the rapper. He said that, according to the doctor’s complaint, there had been financial transactions between him and Vedan. The police commissioner said we must confirm all the allegations. We have to talk to those whose names have been given in the complaint. After that, we will take other measures.

Vedan has been accused of doing bad things before. In April of this year, Vedan was arrested in a drug case and then released on bond. Shortly after, he was arrested in the case of a leopard obtaining Vedan’s teeth and then released on bail.
In addition, in May of this year, a leader of the Bharatiya Janata (BJP) party filed a complaint against him, accusing him of insulted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and promote the division on the basis of the caste through his music.
