The lash extensions I loved and left

Full, thick and effortless. The eyelash extensions, once an occasional indulgence for special occasions, have won me over, becoming a bimonthly investment which was difficult to free itself.

I have tried eyelash extensions on and out for six months. I couldn’t bear to separate myself at all. So far.

I know, it seems trivial. Superficial. Ridiculous, even. But since the start of a new job and the reintegration of full-time labor after seven years, my eyelash extensions have become, well, part of me. At work, they are enough like all the makeup I need; During a training course, they are the difference between looking somewhat decent and as something that the cat has led.

While delivering to eyelash extensions could be a common practice, the practice of artificially lengthening the appearance of the eyelashes is rooted in the 1800s. These very first versions were made from human hair and glued to the eyelids on natural eyelashes. In 1911, Canadian inventor Anna Taylor patented the first eyelash extensions from tiny crescent fabric hairs. In Hollywood, the popularity of eyelash extensions began to increase in 1947, appearing on models and cinema actresses. 20 years later, they have entered the general public market, and today there are a variety of eyelash extensions available, from boxes in boxes available through Sephora, living room treatments and at home.

They have become so common that many women are counting strongly on the extensions of their beauty appearance. “I got used to them so much, I do not recognize myself without them,” admits the editor of chief Vogue Arabia Leen Al Saadi, who has been receiving constant lashes for three years. “I have no addictive personality type, but I have to admit it, abandon eyelash extensions is impossible.”

Beyond the obvious aesthetic attraction, the convenience factor is a huge point more. With eyelash extensions, I’m just getting out of bed, brushing my teeth, slapping me with CC cream and a touch of blushing to make a good measure, and The tour is played! The morning makeup routines have never been so simple. Without forgetting, I don’t have to put my feet outside my home since my lady of eyelashes made home visits. I can often sneak in a nap while she works her magic.

Convenience is what maintains many popularization enthusiasts faithful to the process. Jennifer Love, water -based, has become a drug addiction to the text when she moved to Dubai 10 years ago for this reason. But over time, its natural eyelashes have been weakened and it called it, turning to eyelash growth serums, eyelands of eyelashes and magnetic eyelashes as alternatives. But the attraction of extensions quickly returned when she became a mother in 2024. “I found myself constantly looking for beauty treatments that would allow me to leave the house with makeup and minimum efforts,” she explains. “I lived my high maintenance life, from eyelash extensions to hair extensions … But again, my eyelashes and my natural hair began to pay the price.”
