For 27 years, Lakshmi Myneni managed Akshara’s books through the changing literary landscape of Hyderabad. To testify to the rise of shopping centers to the survival of the pandemic, the independent bookstore has seen everything. For years, Akshara and Myneni, 67, put a lonely battle against declining reading habits, bookstore channels and incredible discounts of online sellers. The Avid and Accountant Authorized Pranarur Reader remembers: “Compared to bookstores and the culture of reading, for example, Bengaluru and Chennai, Hyderabad had much fewer options. Although readers still existed, there was no ecosystem to support them. ”

To paraphrase Camus, in the middle of winter, an invincible summer quickly made its way. In 2022, Luna Books, located in a pretty bungalow in the high -end hills jubilee, was founded by the sisters Shilpa and Sapna Sudhkar. Outside the shelf arrived two years later, launched by the brothers and sisters Manasa and Meghna Gummi in the heart of the city’s computer district.
